Aatharai rural municipality chairman cup got underway at Khamlalung, Aatharai on Wednesday.

A friendly match was played in the opening ceremony.

Men's & women's football will start from tomorrow.

Aatharai rural municipality is organizing the championship, which has a winning purse of NRs 1,50,000. Runners up team will get NRs 1 lakh.

Earlier MP Sita Gurung inaugurated the event in the presence of rural municipality chairman Dil Kumar Pahim.
