Aaatharai rural municipality is playing against Niguradin sporting in the final of Gajendra Isbo memorial running shield football tournament in Terathum.

Aaatharai rural municipality defeated Myanglung sporting club 4-3 on penalties in the first semifinal match played on Sunday.

Both teams played 0-0 draw in regulation time before inviting a spot kick battle.

In the second semifinal match, Niguradin sporting club sidelined Diamond FC, Biratnagar 3-2.

Suman Yongya scored a brace while Anup Sendang scored another for the winners. Nitesh Limbu and Raju Magar scored apiece for the losing side.

The final match will be played on Monday. The champions will get NRs 1,50,000.

Aathaarai rural municipality and ward number 2 are jointly organizing the championship.
