Nepal have made it into the semifinals of the ongoing SAFF U-17 Championship in Sri Lanka. Nepal are into the final four after defeating Bhutan 2-1 at the Racecourse Stadium in Colombo.
Nepal and India each have three points in group B from one game each. Bhutan, with two losses in two matches, have crashed out of the tournament.
India is at the top with three points. Now, Nepal will play against India in the second and final match of the group stage on Friday. After this match, group winners and runners-up will be decided.
Six teams, Sri Lanka, India, Bhutan, Bangladesh and Maldives, are participating in the tournament, along with Nepal.
The top two teams in each group will qualify for the semi-finals. The final will be held on September 14.
