Nepal U17 will play against Bhutan U17 in its opener of SAFF U17 championship.

Sri Lanka is hosting the championship in Colombo from September 5-14.

Bhutan will open the campaign taking on India on September 5. Bangladesh will meet Sri Lanka later in the evening on the same day.

Nepal U17 has been gouped with India and Bhutan in the championship.

Six SAARC nations are taking part in the event except Pakistan. Two teams from the group will go to semifinals.

Group A: Sri Lanka, Maldives, Bangladesh

Group B: India, Nepal, Bhutan
